Bashar Barakah Jackson (July 20, 1999 - - February 19, 2000) popularly referred to as Pop Smoke, was an American rapper and songwriter. Victor Victor Worldwide & Republic Records were both his labels. Pop Smoke gained popularity as an Brooklyn drill producer after collaborating in collaboration with UK producers 808Melo Axl Beats & Yoz Beatz. Welcome to the Party was the debut single off his debut mixtape Meet the Woo, which came out in July 2019. The remixes of Welcome to the Party were done in August by American rapper Nicki Minaj as well as British singer Skepta. Pop Smoke debuted his first mixtape Meet the Woo in 2019. In April the artist released his debut single Welcome to the Party, the song that became his breakout hit. The track has been remixed in two different versions including one featuring Nicki Minaj on it and another with Skepta. Both were released in August of 2019. The song was noted to have song used UK drill production, which was later used in the entirety of his discography. It was due to his frequent collaborations with British drill producer 808Melo. Some of his most well-known tracks include Mpr Flexin as well as Dior. Following the huge popularity of Welcome to the Party, the artist collaborated with other popular musicians for singles such as War which features Lil Tjay or 100k on the Coupe with Calboy. In December 2019, he worked on Gatti with JackBoys and Travis Scott which is the closing track of the JackBoys (2019) album produced by Scott along with the Cactus Jack members.
